Overview & Reviews
Lexus has introduced a completely redesigned ES 300 for 2002. The new car is roomier and quieter than the previous car, and in many ways has become more closely aligned with the LS 430 flagship model. Safety and feature quotients have been increased, and the car is wrapped in a svelte new body.
- Nice array of luxury and convenience features, strong and silent V6, advanced safety technology.
- Many of the desired features are optional and expensive.

Luxury and Performance - 2002 Lexus ES 300
By bigredman - April 26 - 10:00 amThis car is sweet. It has excellent styling, inside and out. The attention to detail is unmatched in its price class. I definitely recommend the leather, steering wheel and wheel upgrades. Additionally, it handles very well. The acceleration wont break your neck, but it is decent. The navigation system and Mark Levinson stereo are added touches well worth the additional expense. I like the CD magazine under the drivers arm rest.

Worthy of the reputation - 2002 Lexus ES 300
By green hornet - April 9 - 10:00 amI have owned 10 toyotas from the lowly corolla to the Land cruiser including several camrys and quite pleased with all of them. Well the Lexus es300 takes you to a new level. while the camrys are good the ES is great!. You are in a world all to yourself when you get in the ES. First trip with the car was JaxFl to Tx no problems. Buy one you wont be sorry, no buyers remorse

Best of the Best - 2002 Lexus ES 300
By Steve Mercaitis - December 5 - 6:03 pmI tried to find a comparable American vehicle. I researched autos for over 6 months to find a vechicle that suited my needs and driving habits. I drive over 36,000 miles per year. Unfortunately, nothing comes close to the style, value, re-sale, dependability, and ride that a Lexus provides in an American model

The Maytag of Cars! - 2002 Lexus ES 300
By Halc - October 16 - 12:36 pmMy ES300 had about 9K miles on it when purchased 11/2003 and now has 40,523 miles and has been the Maytag of cars. In addition to regular scheduled service, the only outlay has been new tires and (battery which was replaced under warranty about a month ago). Lexus sent road-side service with a fresh one and literally 5 minutes later upon arrival it was good to go again. The tires were expensive costing about $900 for Michelins or $1200 for Bridgestone and I highly recommend the latter designed for the car. The Michelins do not handle as well at highway speeds and adversely affected the driving pleasure in my opinion.

Solid Beauty - 2002 Lexus ES 300
By kleesmith - October 9 - 10:00 amI am a residential real estate agent showing property all the time in the Atlanta area. I get all kinds of positive comments from my passengers of how well this car rides over most all terrains. After the break-in period I have noticed the performance and gas mileage improve. It handles well, but after my Audi A6, I can tell it is not a sports car nor a Quattro gripper. For my business and personal pleasure, it handles quite supurbly. Quiet, comfortable, solidly built. There is ample room for average sized people in the back seat. The local dealers treat me like royalty both in sales and service and that will drive me right back there for my next one.

What a perfect cat - 2002 Lexus ES 300
By won - December 21 - 3:33 pmThis is my first Lexus ever. I test drove other competitive cars and found this car is the best. There was nothing to compare. Comfort, design (especially interior) and size. The best part was comfort and reliability. As you know Lexus can run 200,000 miles very easily. It drives like a heaven.

Finest Yet - 2002 Lexus ES 300
By #2in2 - October 7 - 10:00 amWow! Just traded my 2001 ES300 for the 2002. Night and day difference! This is car #40 for me and Ive done them all, from Studebaker to Mercedes. This is the finest car Ive ever been in. Style is awesome, interior a knockout, quiet, smooth and responsive. Tranny is a big improvement over last year, as is everything else.
